At DNYA Stainless Steel, pleased to offer premium 309S Stainless Steel Sheets & Plates, and plates that are engineered to provide exceptional weldability, high-temperature strength, and oxidation resistance.
Whether you’re sourcing for furnace components, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, or chemical processing equipment, 309S provides the strength and thermal resistance you need without compromising on corrosion protection.
309S stainless steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel alloy with a low carbon content (≤0.08%), developed to provide excellent oxidation resistance and high-temperature strength while minimizing carbide precipitation during welding. It is the preferred version of 309 stainless steel in applications where welding is required and post-weld heat treatment is not feasible.
Combining heat resistance, corrosion protection, and reliable weldability, 309S is ideal for industries such as petrochemical processing, thermal power, furnaces, incinerators, and chemical handling systems.
Excellent High-Temperature Oxidation Resistance
Resists scaling in continuous service up to 1000°C (1832°F).
Low Carbon for Enhanced Weldability
Prevents intergranular corrosion after welding.
Superior Resistance to Thermal Fatigue
Performs well under cyclic heating and cooling conditions.
High Strength and Ductility
Maintains mechanical integrity at elevated temperatures.
Good Formability and Workability
Can be cut, rolled, and formed with conventional tools.
Compliant with ASTM A240 / ASME SA240
Suitable for pressure vessels and industrial fabrication.
